Description: | Broken all around; probably from an oinochoe, shape III. Head and shoulders of a warrior, right, right arm raised to thrust with spear. Behind him the staff of a spectator(?) In field above and in front of his head, a nonsense inscription: <graphic>. Above, part of a frieze of upright lotus buds. Red for helmet and for a short cross stroke at the bottom of the lotus buds. White for the front edge of the crest of the helmet. ADDENDA Fragment b), found when going through sherds, preserves part of his legs. | |
