Description: | Two fragments from the neck of a large vase: high slightly concave side and flaring rim; neck glazed inside, and around upper part of outside, with two miltos grooves. Glaze band at junction of neck and shoulder. a) Part of procession of draped figures, right; two men, a woman, a small girl and a smaller boy remain. At the right edge of the fragment, part of a table or altar. b) Nude youth, left, a jug in his left hand. Uncertain object at edge of fragment, behind him. Extremely coarse incision; remains of white on the hair of the small girl on a) and the youth on b), and a row of white bars along the black glazed band above, separated by short horizontal strokes in thinned clay paint. Clay pink to buff; glaze firm. | |
