Description:   Mended from many fragments; handles, most of one side and pieces from the other missing. Restored in plaster. Ring foot.
Large reversed Σ pattern around upper part; below this, a diamond chain; around the base, curled up spirals; the decorative bands set off from each other by groups of narrow horizontal stripes; similar vertical stripes interrupt the pattern to form plain panels beneath the handles.
Buff clay. Decoration, and inside, painted in dull brown glaze.

ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Πρωτοαττικός κάνθαρος με δακτυλιόσχημη βάση. Λείπουν θραύσματα από το σώμα και οι λαβές. Φέρει ταινία με διακοσμητικό "Σ" μοτίβο. Διακρίνεται ταινία με διακοσμητική αδαμάντινη αλυσίδα. Αποκατεστημένος με γύψο.
