Description: | Head, right hand and the attribute it held missing. Standing female figure, about one-third of life size, on an irregular oval plinth, dressed in short-sleeved chiton with high waist and himation. She stands with her weight on her left leg and holds a cornucopia with grapes and other fruit in her left arm; in her right hand a steering-oar, missing except for a bit of the blade which is attached to the globe at her right foot. The chiton is modeled closely over the breasts and upper body, and a large fold of the heavier himation swings diagonally across below her waist from the right and falls to her feet at the left. Capable work. Pentelic marble. | |
