Description: | Head and shoulders, much of upper body, left arm, and legs from knees missing. Figure wearing a short chiton reaching only to the knees. It has an overfold and is girt diagonally, over the left shoulder and with a band under the left arm. Across the back, as if held in place by this arrangement, is a cloak which is drawn round to envelop the right arm which hangs at the side, the hand slightly outstretched, and the drapery, which conceals it, falling in a heavy fold at the side. Fragmentary. No certain remains of white color. Hard red clay; red to buff surface. Cf. Head T 1409. | |
