Description:   The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   We left this skin baulk around cut 1205 when we excavated 1187 in order to prevent contamination from the later bothros pit with the Late Roman fill. As elsewhere exposed by 1187, cleaning this small context revealed another layer of compact red soil.
